Facebook is shadow banning my political posts, so welcome to my first post on Substack. I hope this is an easier way to connect with people who find my content valuable. I’m sure I have much to learn about optimizing the platform, so bear with me as initial posts are light on graphics and custom styling.
The online buzz today is about an article in the Washington Post exposing the identity of the popular Libs of TikTok twitter account. This article is peak legacy media:
It’s written in the Washington Post (owned by Jeff Bezos of Amazon fortune which is ironic considering all of the media types wetting their pants over Elon Musk of Tesla/SpaceX fortune attempting to buy twitter).
It’s written by Taylor Lorenz who a couple weeks ago did a literal sob story on MSNBC about how she gets harassed online in response to her reporting.
It’s about a (now formerly) anonymous Twitter account who became popular for reporting on/reposting crazy videos from LGBTQ+ teachers who are hellbent on sharing their sexual preferences with their students.
As is typical for the legacy media, it misses the lede. There is a large number of teachers who want to force their sexuality onto kids who POST ONLINE AND BRAG ABOUT IT. The article ignores the actual content in lieu of revealing the identity of the poster (who I repeat does not create content of her own).
Sample content from last week to give you an idea what I’m talking about.
